Common Questions

ADVANCED BJJ FAQ

How much experience do I need?

We recommend at least 6 months of consistent BJJ training before joining Advanced class. If you're unsure, talk to one of our coaches — they'll help you decide when you're ready.

Is this class competition-only?

Not at all. While the class covers competition strategy, many of our advanced students train purely for personal growth and the love of the art. All goals are welcome.

Can I train both Fundamentals and Advanced?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Many students attend Fundamentals to sharpen their base and Advanced to push their limits. The two classes complement each other perfectly.

What's the sparring intensity like?

Controlled but challenging. We emphasize technique-first rolling, but the pace is higher than Fundamentals. You'll be matched with appropriate training partners.
