Our Programs
The gentle art. Learn ground-based grappling, submissions, and self defense from experienced coaches in a welcoming, ego-free environment.
The Art of Control
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art focused on ground fighting, positional control, and submissions. It's designed so that a smaller, weaker person can defend themselves against a larger opponent using leverage and technique.
At Space Coast MMA, our BJJ program is split into two tracks: Fundamentals & Self Defense for beginners and those focused on practical application, and Advanced BJJ for experienced grapplers looking to sharpen their competition game.
Whether you've never been on a mat or you're chasing your next stripe, our coaches will meet you where you are.

Why Train BJJ
BJJ is one of the most effective martial arts for real-world self defense, teaching you to control and submit opponents regardless of size.
A full-body workout that builds functional strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance — all while learning a skill.
Problem-solving under pressure. Every roll is a chess match that sharpens your focus, patience, and resilience.
You'll train with partners who push you, support you, and hold you accountable — building bonds that go beyond the mats.
Common Questions
Absolutely not. Our Fundamentals classes are designed for complete beginners. You'll learn at your own pace in a supportive environment.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing — shorts or joggers and a t-shirt or rash guard. We train No-Gi, so no uniform is required.
Safety is our top priority. Technique is always emphasized over strength, and our coaches closely supervise all training.
We recommend 2–3 times per week to start. Consistency matters more than intensity — show up, learn, and the progress will follow.
